The City of Davao is the largest city on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines. Its international airport and seaports are among the busiest cargo hubs in the Philippines. The city serves as the regional center for Davao Region (Region XI). It has a population of 1,363,330 (2007 census). In recent years, Davao City has emerged as the business, investment and tourism hub for the entire southern Philippines. The city has good beaches and mountain resorts, and is close to diving spots and the highest peak in the Philippines, Mount Apo. It is awarded by the Department of Tourism as the Most Livable City in the Philippines on 2008. Choosing a Hotel or Resort One of the considerations when choosing a hotel
or resort are what amenities the location has to offer you. But
equally important are which ones will make your stay a more
enjoyable one. To decide what amenities you want you need to decide
what exactly you are looking for out of the hotel or resort you have
chosen to stay at. Are you looking to stay there and do very little
more than enjoy being pampered? Or do you want to use your room as
nothing more than a base so you can go sightseeing, shop at stores
that you do not often see where you live or simply explore the
history of a place you have never been before. What you want from
the place you are staying is a big determining factor on where to
stay.
One of the factors that may influence you when
choosing a hotel or resort is the ratings of the places you are
looking at. You can check these ratings in a least two ways. One is
on the Internet by looking at different websites and the other is by
looking at tour books, available at most travel agents, which will
give you both the ratings, locations and room specifications of each
hotel or resort. Sometimes perusing the reviews and reading the
comments of those who review vacation spots for a living might give
you an idea as to whether it is a place you truly want to stay.
Reviews will also tell you what extras the location has that may
make it more appealing to you. |
